Two Books by Lynne North

About Lynne and Her Books
I live in the north west of England and work as a data analyst for one of the local Health  Authorities. I have been a prolific reader all my life, and for many years have  spent the majority of my free time writing. As well as being educated up to  degree level, I have completed courses and received diplomas from ‘The Writing  School Ltd’ and ‘The Academy of Children’s Writers.
My aim in life has always been to write, and I‘ve had a sideline of freelance  writing for more years than I like to admit to having lived. This has mainly  involved published articles in such magazines as ‘Prediction’. I have also  completed two children’s novels, published by YouWriteOn in conjunction with  Legend Press in December’08. Both books were also released on Kindle in 2011. I am currently working on a fantasy novel for  adults,  another very different children’s humorous fantasy, and a macabre Twist in the Tale Anthology.

Gertie is sent to The Academy to improveher spell casting skills. She soon has a best friend in the form of BerthaBobbit, a big girl, with a matching appetite.
Add to that a Moat Monster with aflatulence problem, the weirdest array of witch's Familiars possible, and awarlock determined to ruin Gertie's chances of success, and the story unfolds.
            Not to mention the demon...

HYBRID:The Rh- Factor by Claudia B. Modie

Hybrid: The Rh- Factor
by
Claudia B. Modie

Download thre first book in this amazing series . . . you will not be dissapointed !

About the Book

"The only thing I knew about Rh Negative blood was that I needed a shot after giving birth. At the time there was little explanation, other than, "your blood type."
In the seventies, I was still carrying a card in my wallet, which read, "This is an Rh- Female."
Having Rh- blood means you have no connection to the Rhesus Monkey, hence the negative Rh factor. Roughly 85% of the human population is genetically linked to this particular primate. I am in the 15% percent with no genetic similarities.
As an Rh- female, my body will reject the intrusion of any offspring without this necessary blood compatibilty. There are no instances in which this occurs in nature, unless there has been an attempt at cross-species breeding.
An individual with O negative blood is a Universal Donor, capable of giving blood to anyone, yet . . . can only receive O negative blood in return.

As it stands, those shots (rhogam) I was given, the shots still relied upon to this day, only fool the body into believing there's blood compatibility, but . . . what if there isn't?

It's the "What if?" factor that makes the best fiction . . . Isn't it?"

Blood is not necessarily thicker than water when a love triangle is orchestrated by extraterrestrials.

There are those who suspect individuals with Rh Negative Blood are the descendants of Ancient Astronauts , but throughout history a select few have had to learn the hard way . . .
When Olivia finds out she is pregnant, it forces Bobby into reliving his past, his own alien engineered birth. As he struggles to convince the young virgin to go through with the pregnancy, Olivia reconciles with the terrifying knowledge that she has been abducted and is now incubating what she views as a creature. But despite her apprehensions she cannot bring herself to terminate the pregnancy.

The Frank Diary of Ann

A Brief Bio of D J. Donaldson and her book

I was born in Shoreham-by-Sea on the south coast of England.  I lived in West Sussex for most of my younger life with my parents and sister and later with my husband.  Two of my published novels are set in the area.

I moved with my husband to North Lincolnshire about ten years ago.  I still like to get down to West Sussex, not only to visit my mother, sister and my two lovely nieces, but also to catch up with old friends.

I started writing a couple of years ago after reading a novel written by a work colleague.  My first book ‘The Frank Diary of Anne’ is a humorous diary of a fourteen-year old girl, often described as a cross between a young Bridget Jones and a female Adrian Mole.  I then published a selection of short stories ‘Short’ which is a mixture of humorous and ‘twist in the tale’ type stories.  I am currently editing my second novel, ‘Lost in the Limelight.’

I work full-time as a litigator for a firm of solicitors based in Yorkshire and am also in my last year of studying for a degree with the Open University.  Once my studies are completed, I hope to have more time to devote to writing.

Do you remember what it was like being a teenager? Do you dare remind yourself?

Join Anne in her journey as she learns about relationships, love, living with her divorcee mother and the struggle to live up to her friends’ rebellious image. Her diary provides the reader with either an entertaining philosophical view into the life of a modern schoolgirl - or the naive ramblings of a deluded (and over-protected), teenager.  You decide!

Just some of the comments made by other writers about THE FRANK DIARY OF ANNE – AGED 14 on the YouWriteOn Website:-

 • I like Anne, she comes across as a sort of middle-class Vicky Pollard!

• A great story! It was warm, humorous and realistic.

 • The humour throughout is great, and your ability to make the ordinary new is a great skill.

If you have anywhere near as much fun reading this as I did writing it then I've achieved my goal!!

Since I started writing, I have written many short stories.  As people are often too busy to read an entire novel, I decided to bring together some of what I hope are the best ones to form this small anthology of short stories.  From quirky to humorous to dark, I hope there is something for everyone in there to enjoy.

A Proper Charlie by Louise Wise

A Proper Charlie by Louise Wise
Charlie watched as he fell back onto her settee, and then straddled his lap. Oh my God! What was she doing! She was having an out-of-body-experience, she thought. Only she wasn’t dead. She was alive. Very much so. She wriggled against him wonderingly and excitement flared in her body as his own rose to her teasing.

Charlie Wallis has everything a girl could wish for. A loving boyfriend, a nice flat and a fantastic job as a journalist for London Core. Trouble is, Charlie's boyfriend's a waster, her job title really reads 'clerk' and her flat, at the top of a high-rise, isn't that nice after all.

Her new boss, Ben, is a huge bear of a man. A gentle giant, with chocolate brown eyes that hold a secret.

While London Core investigates the murders of local prostitutes, Charlie wants in on the action, deciding that dressing as a hooker and walking the streets is good research

Bumping into Ben was the last thing she expected.

About Louise

Married, with four children, Louise Wise lives in England. She is a pharmacist technician by day, and a writer by night. She was educated in an ordinary state school and left without achieving much in the way of qualifications; you could say she was the result of a crap school. Hungry for knowledge she enrolled in an Adult Education centre and studied English, maths and creative writing.  Whereas other young girls asked for makeup and clothes for their birthdays, she asked for encyclopaedias!

Louise Wise used her general love of romantic fiction and interest in astronomy to write her first book, Eden.  It was an experimental novel and was never meant to see the light of day! She had received many rejections, which stated that the novel was just too original for the current market. An agent took it on but failed to find a publisher for it, this urged Louise into believing in herself as a writer. Since then she believes she has found her niche with romantic comedy. A Proper Charlie was released last year, and Misanthrope will be launched in the autumn.

She also has a non-fiction eBook called So You Want an Author Platform.

DNA by Ey Wade

About "DNA":
On the night before a planned family vacation, Debney is inexplicably excluded. After a bitter argument with her mother at being barred from family vacations, especially one so close to her eighteenth birthday, Debney arranges a romantic dinner with her long time crush. During the chaos of dinner turned teen party, she learns of the death of her family. Yes, sometimes relationships in families end tragically. People leave; parents die, and lives change. But does it all have to bring out the skeletons in the closet?
Debney Nichole Armstrong thought she knew everything about her family. She knew her dad worked hard at everything, except building a relationship with his family. She knew her younger brothers were typical little kids, and she knew her mother, for some unknown reason, disliked her first born and only daughter.
What she really needed to know was did her mother contribute to the ‘accident’? Who is the man repeatedly mentioned in her mother’s journals? Where were the bodies of her ten year old twin brothers, and who is the father of the child she now carries? No matter what the answers are, Debney knows, nothing will ever be the same.

A Must Read For Book Lovers

Mafia Messiah
         By
   Joe Bagori

Mafia Messiah chronicles the life of a baby boomer with a made man for grandfather. The book has been hailed as "The Wonder Years" meets "The Godfather".
The reader learns about The New England La Cosa Nostra from the days of Prohibition to the recent past.
The reader gets a sense of the power that emanated from Raymond Patriarca's office, Coin-O-Matic, on Atwells Avenue, the main thoroughfare of Federal Hill in Rhode Island.
The FBI had wire taps and bugs in place to understand this organization. The grandfather had a special anointing being born on Christmas Day that allowed him to prevent his family from being corrupted by it, a miracle in itself.
The reader experiences a wide range of events from the assignations of John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King, to Muhammad Ali fighting on "The Wide World of Sports", all through the special prism of an Italian American family with Mafia ties and strong Christian values.
With strong parental figures our baby boomer is not only shielded from the dangers of organized crime but also shielded the dangers of life in general.
The book opens memory passages of the mind making each readers experience personal as they relate their own memories to the events and lessons of the book.

Biography

Joe Bagori, born in 1959, to second generation Italian American parents, in Providence Rhode Island.
The Italian American community of Federal Hill was his home during his early years. It was there that Joe began his appreciation for extended family, religious values, and good food. It was during those formative years that Joe also got to experience the close knit community that populated Federal Hill. It wasn't unusual to know your neighbors and storekeepers and expect welcoming grins when venturing outside. It wasn't unusual for neighbors to call themselves, "Pizans", something similar to cousin, meaning they came from the province in Italy.
Good food and a sense of belonging were not the only old world traditions that Federal Hill embraced. Federal Hill was home to the undisputed leader of New England Organized crime, and he had his office, "The Office", just a few doors down from Joe's home. Power emanated from that office and it influenced the population of not only the neighborhood, but the whole state, the New England region, and was the target of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
The Providence Journal reported spectacular crimes and punishments and invariably attributed them to "The Office". Joe would read these accounts as a paperboy. Joe would ask his mother about those Providence Journal articles and about "The Office" occupant, Raymond Patriarca, and he would be told the Journal was just prejudiced against Italians. Maybe the Providence Journal was reporting facts, and maybe they just did not understand the facts, so Joe was in search of them. As Joe learnt that his Grandfather was good friends with Raymond, Joe thought his mother's comments may have been prejudiced in themselves.
In other regards Joe was a typical Baby Boomer and Joe gives a unique perspective of growing up a Boomer in a world were an old world was trying to exist into a future that was born of the space race.
Joe's first book, "Mafia Messiah" is a fun read that will open memory passages of your mind making each readers experience unique.
